Simone, a Woman of the Century
Simone Veil’s life story from her childhood to her major political battles seen through the pivotal events of the twentieth century. An intimate and epic portrait of an extraordinary woman who eminently challenged and transformed her era: her humanist message is still keenly relevant today.
Reviews
We talk a lot — with good reason — about the performance of Elsa Zylberstein in the role of Simone Veil, especially since the idea for this film came from the actress, but it should be emphasized also the performance of Rebecca Marder, remarkable in the role of this exceptional woman in his youthful years. Simone, The Journey of the Century is essentially a useful film.
Marc-André Lussier — La Presse
Elsa Zylberstein delivers a masterful performance.
Sarah Lévy Laithier — Public
Far from the classic biopic, the film directed by Olivier Dahan (La Môme, Grace de Monaco) offers an intimate yet grandiose portrait of a woman whose life has been marked by tragedies, but above all through battles that have left their mark on society.
Rania Hoballah — LCI
Beautiful, inspiring and necessary.

His visit to the Auschwitz camp, during the commemorations of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of camp (wasn’t she herself deported with her mother and sister?) is one of the great moments of the film, these episodes of a life when everything stops and the experience of yesterday and today are fading
